The FlexxGroep develops powder-based technologies to solve environmental problems. Our powder sorbent enables scrubber owners, ferries and other vessels to comply with IMO regulations while reducing SOx emissions to almost zero. We are also exploring the use of powder as an energy source.
The FlexxGroep is a safe choice. We take proven land-based technologies and apply them in innovative ways for the maritime industry. A good example is N-Flexx, our next generation marine exhaust desulphurization system. This patented system is based on a technology used for decades in power stations and waste-to -energy plants.
We analyze your situation and then tailor a solution that best fits your needs. Would a modular plug-and-play solution work? Or do you need a fully integrated solution? If the right technology does not exist, we can design it for you. FlexxGroep solutions are compliant, low maintenance and easy to operate.
Since 2012, FlexxGroep has applied proven technologies in innovative ways for maritime clients. This includes developing technologies and handling powders.
We provide: in-house engineering, project management, r&d, production, assembly, lab facility, testing, commissioning and after sales service.
If the right maritime technology doesn’t exist, we can design it for you.
The FlexxGroep provides a full range of engineering services to help you achieve Marine Certification by IACS member class societies. We will take care of all the details. Our solutions save you money while contributing to a cleaner environment.
Our project manager will guide you through every step of the certification process. Here is what you can expect.
Provide us a General Arrangement Drawing. Our engineer will review your sketches to gain an intimate understanding of your ship’s components. He will then create a 3D drawing and recommend the most efficient and logical place to place our system.
We would like to visit your vessel and meet your chief engineer, technical superintendent and other stakeholders. This allows us to address their concerns and adjust the 3D drawing accordingly. Our project management team will finalise the 3D drawing into a detailed design.
Our engineer will prepare and send all required documents to the Class Societies for approval. They will also communicate directly to the Class Surveyor during the inspection.
We design the system, supply the components and deliver them to your ship or shipyard. Installation is usually done by a third party. If you prefer, we can arrange for a turnkey delivery that includes engineering and installation.
After the system is installed, our service engineer uploads the system’s software. He then does a visual check to ensure all components and piping were installed correctly according to your specifications. This is followed by a functional check to ensure the system is running the way it should.
Our engineer will hold a live training session on your vessel. In this session, your crew will be taught to operate and maintain the system. They will also learn how to address the concerns of the Class Societies and Port Authorities.
Via a remote link, your ship is always connected to the FlexxGroep Service Center. Your chief engineer can always call our service center, which is open 24 hours a day.
